We are the Arizona District 5 Democrats (or "AZLD5 Dems"). Legislative District 5 (or "LD5") is one of 30 legislative districts in Arizona.
We meet on the First Tuesday of each month, with limited exceptions. Check our home page and events calendar for specific information on upcoming meetings.
As a Legislative District Committee, our role is vital in shaping local politics, advocating for progressive policies, and ensuring every voice in our community is heard. We believe that local involvement is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy.
Elect Democrats at every level, engage voters, and advocate for progressive values throughout Legislative District 5.
LD5 is one of 30 legislative districts in Arizona, located in the heart of the Phoenix metro area with diverse neighborhoods and communities.
We meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6 PM (except July and December). In person and Zoom options are available.
We proudly welcome and represent all members of our community, including our LGBTQ+ neighbors, as reflected in our district logo.
On June 6, 2023, the Arizona District 5 Democrats unanimously approved Bylaws for our district. On October 29, 2024, a technical correction to Article III §9, to comply with ARS §16-823 was made.
