TRANSPORTATION EXCISE TAX
Prop 479 is the continuation of an existing, dedicated half-cent sales tax in Maricopa County to fund transportation. Voters established this dedicated half-cent sales tax in 1985 via Proposition 300 and subsequently renewed it in 2004 via Proposition 400.

PROPOSITION 486: COMMUNITY COLLEGE EXPENDITURE LIMIT ADJUSTMENT
Prop 486 will adjust the base upon which the annual community college expenditure limit is based. This proposition will not increase taxes, but will (a) allow community colleges to use their existing budget without penalty; and (b) account for increases in workforce programs, technology infrastructure, career and technical education (CTE), non-credit training, baccalaureate degrees, and programs that serve high school students.
