Arizona Democratic Legislative District 5

LD5 News

Who We Are

LD5 is one of 30 districts in Arizona. Each district has one Senator and 2 House Representatives in the Legislature. Our Senator is Lela Alston. Our Representatives are Jen Longdon and Dr Amish Shah. It is our duty to help our Democratic Legislatures get elected every two years.

Each district has a number of Precincts. LD5 has 54 different Precincts. Here is the map. Each Precinct is allowed so many Precinct Committee people to be elected or appointed depending on when they file. For more on becoming a PC (Precinct Committee) person. Click here…

Our board is made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about Democratic values and turning and keeping Arizona blue. Our board…

Neighborhood Teams

LD5 is excited to announce that we have now organized our district into 9 Neighborhood Teams.  If you were able to attend the meeting on August 1 you saw the map with the breakdown of the precincts that make up each Team.  Our Field Team takes off this fall under the guidance of Ted Hiserodt, our Vice Chair of Field.  We will be focusing on the needs of each Neighborhood Team going forward and the best way to reach those voters.

Our biggest challenge right now is having enough PCs and Volunteers to fully cover each Team.  If you are considering becoming a PC now is the time – You can sign up to be a PC at this link:   Become a PC

We also need both PC’s and Volunteers for the Field Committee – there will be lots of jobs to go around – cutting lists, finding launch locations, contacting volunteers, setting up for canvasses, helping with literature, etc. To sign up to be part of the Field Team Committee please complete this form: Join the Field Team Committee
